Nominee Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for consideration, nominees must:

Be a UMass Amherst alumna/us
Meet eligibility requirements for maximum allowable years of consecutive Board service
Submit a complete and timely nominee application

Nominees whose names are placed on the election ballot must also:

Be or become a Legacy, Life or Sustaining Member in good standing, having contributed $50 or more to the Alumni Association between January 1, 2025–January 31, 2026.
Sign and pledge to abide by the Volunteer Code of Conduct

University and Foundation employees are ineligible for nomination.

Voter Eligibility Requirements

Eligible voters must be graduates of UMass Amherst AND meet one or more of the requirements below:

Achieved Life or Legacy donor status with the UMass Amherst Alumni Association
Made a gift in any amount to UMass Amherst, UMass Amherst Foundation, or the Alumni Association between January 1, 2025–January 31, 2026.
Registered for a paid Alumni Association or UMass Amherst Foundation event between January 1, 2025–January 31, 2026.
